Trademark’s Cabaret and Fundraiser is back with a stunning line up of Twin Cities musical theater talent to bring you some of the best show-stopping tunes lost on the road to Broadway, all to support our company's new works mission.
Ten Percent. Roommates. We'll Have Tomorrow. These incredible songs were cut from Broadway hits like Chicago, Cabaret, and Little Shop of Horrors before their opening nights, forever left on the rehearsal room floor. Trademark Theater will bring these songs back to life in its second-annual cabaret and fundraiser, a one-of-a-kind, one-night-only bash. Tasty bites paired with delicious drinks, a who’s who of Twin Cities arts supporters, and great music from local artists will make CUTTING ROOM FLOOR an unforgettable night.
Directed and Curated by Tyler Michaels King and featuring a small cast of your favorite Twin Cities musical theater performers, this cabaret performance will showcase rare gems from the musical theater canon, ranging from classics like Fiddler on the Roof to recent big hits like Waitress. Enjoy a vibrant night of mingling and music, all to help fund Trademark’s new works mission.

WHAT ARE YOU FUNDRAISING FOR?
After the massive success of last year’s fundraiser and our recent fall production, Trademark is looking to the future. It is our vision to be the new works hub of Minnesota, where adventurous stories can be created and produced on our local stages. To take big steps toward that goal, we are investing deeply in our IN THE WORKS commissioning platform by welcoming three new theater makers every other year to develop new stories for our community. Each commission will result in a presentation of the artist’s work in our biennial IN THE WORKS SHOWCASE. This allows Trademark to support more artists, put more work than ever in our producing pipeline, and build a deeper community around the creative process (which includes you!).
On the administrative side, we are in the early process of hiring new staff members including a Managing Director and Production Manager, both of which are vital roles to our growing organization. We know that to grow our art we must also support the people who are facilitating the art-making-- we need your support to grow our administrative staff.
Each of these advancements needs financial support from our community to build towards a more robust and adventurous future. We are thankful for your contributions!
IS THIS EVENT A GALA?
It’s our version of one! When we thought about what a Trademark fundraiser would look like, we wanted to make entertainment our main priority. Yes, we will be doing some important fundraising, but our event is also about putting on a great show with incredible performers, all while you are mixing it up with other Twin Cities arts supporters. And yes, there’ll also be heavy hors d'oeuvres and specialty drinks throughout the event. Think of it as a sparkly party! Speaking of…
IS THERE A SUGGESTED DRESS CODE?
Our theme for this year's party is SHIMMER, so come ready to shine! We suggest cocktail attire, but more than anything we want you to show up as YOU! Have fun with it!
WHO IS PERFORMING?
Our cabaret will be performed by Tyler Michaels King and a small cast of the Twin Cities finest musical theater actors. Stay tuned; the full cast announcement is coming soon!
IS YOUR VENUE ACCESSIBLE? WHAT ABOUT PARKING?
